The Declaration of Independence was really about a people’s Dependence
On Selfless United Leaders
Acting on Universal Principle
Who in turn were Dependent
upon the Will and Sacrifice of the People

On July 4, 2016 we remain dependent on those we empower:
Representatives
Executives
Judiciaries
Governments & Corporations

To operate our democratic system of principles and processes
in order to nurture
to educate

and to protect us from tyranny, inequality and injustice

The European occupants of colonial American were dependent upon a small group of leaders to solidify their efforts and unify their thinking. Every one of those leaders chose not to impose their strong personal beliefs on their peers or citizenry. Instead they chose the most universal principles they could conceive over individual opportunities for wealth and power. They stood for a civilization formed and functioning free from the tyranny of within and without. That these leaders could not see indigenous people, or women, or people of color, or any others significantly different from themselves as equals must always be recognized and cited, abhored and learned from. We’re still fighting these battles for equality today.

The signers of the Declaration of Independence were dependent upon a mass of people to rise up in support.  The people were dependent upon their new government to honor and extend the nascent foundation of human rights for themselves and future generations.

And the governments to follow were dependent upon the people to vigorously and earnestly construct commerce, industry and society within certain bounds.


Definitions of Tyranny:

Absolute power, especially when exercised unjustly or cruelly      (The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language)
Arbitrary, unreasonable, or despotic behaviour or use of authority (Collins English Dictionary)


Today, the actors have changed, but the relationships have not.  The people are dependent upon our leaders

Congress, the Executive Branch and the Supreme Court,
Corporations
Institutions

—to provide a framework of capital, education and jobs to satisfy the demand for products, services and enterprise.

Governments and corporations are fully enabled and empowered by us. Their existence is through our laws and for our benefit.

LAWS ARE NOT AN END, THEY ARE A FLAWED

MEANS.

THE LEGALIZATION OF GAY MARRIAGE AND OBAMACARE ARE WONDERFUL STATEMENTS OF PROGRESS AND HOPE. WE MUST WORK HARDER THAN EVER TO ENSURE THAT THIS NEXT ELECTION EXPANDS THE MARGIN OF JUSTICES AND LEADERS WHO BELIEVE NETS (NURTURE/EQUALITY/TRUTH/SYSTEMS) IS THEIR JOB AND OURS.

THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO DO!!!

HOW 4 (SOMETIMES 5) SUPREME COURT APPOINTEES CAN CLAIM TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES WHILE OPPOSING GAY MARRIAGE, OPPOSING ACCESSIBLE AND AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE, OPPOSING VOTER RIGHTS ETC. IS BEYOND US. EVERY CHILD IN AMERICA KNOWS THAT THE MOST PRECIOUS PRINCIPLES OF THIS COUNTRY INCLUDE FREEDOM FROM DISCRIMINATION, FREEDOM FROM THE TYRANNY OF THE MAJORITY AGAINST THE MINORITY, EQUAL RIGHTS AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITY, THE RESOURCES TO ATTAIN LIFE-LIBERTY-HAPPINESS-HEALTH-SECURITY…

Governments and corporations are not things. They are made up of people like us
but controlled at the top by a very small number of leaders whom
we count on,
depend on,
empower
to establish systems and processes that serve us.

We depend upon governments and corporations for large scale frameworks and resources
that provide enterprise, sustenance and value
and that protect us from tyranny and harm.

July 4, 2016 is when we say enough is enough to those we depend upon for systems that nurture us, treat us as equals and provide a truthful basis for understanding and action.

We will not accept an executive branch that fails to protect us from the tyranny of massive financial and industrial giants who systematically deny us free enterprise and safe and sound free market practices.

We will not accept a Congress with members whose intent is more about their election than creative, thoughtful and energetic action to help all of us. We will not accept a Supreme Court with members whose unfounded theories and rationalizations threaten equality for all, whose closed unfounded ideologies reject the foundation of the constitution and embrace the tyranny of the power of wealthy corporations and individuals to overwhelm the electorate.


Our government and corporations are systems of people who accumulate and distribute wealth and resources and human enterprise on our behalf – for the benefit of all stakeholders.

We need to be able to depend upon each other to protect the unifying ideals that we celebrate on the Fourth of July. Those entrusted to lead us must live up to the high standards of the framers of our extraordinary organizational system.  Let’s support leaders whose only agenda is to nurture all of us, ensure equality, educate with truth and establish compassionate and intelligent systems that renew the promise of the framers on July 4, 1776.

We are the people we depend upon.

Those of us who are enamored with the “commons” movement should note that modern governments are a version of the commons, capable of functioning as a beneficent commons. As with all previous experiments with forms of civilization, the modern American version is fast falling into a corrupt state dedicated to no principles – rather, we have a prescription for national well-being that expects systemic conformity in order to empower the wealthy and inherited leadership to preserve and enhance their position and power at the severe expense of others. Any commons derived without a Constitution, without NETS, can never achieve its potential to be beneficent, sustainable and vitalizing. And those enamored with the “libertarian” ideology should note that history has shown beyond any doubt that absolute power corrupts – whether in the hands of a government or in the hands of those wealthy private individuals and organizations that wield great influence and power – serving themselves without adequate balance for those without power. Libertarianism is an outrageously minimalist ideological denial of systemic integrity, objectiveless, for white men with white man inheritance, who cannot understand the bite of discrimination and inherited hates, who ignore the specific needs of anyone but themselves. Freedom from discrimination is a right. Freedom from hunger is a right. Freedom from private tyrannies is a right. Any social system without the specific principles, objectives and policies of nurture for all, equality for all, the pursuit of truth for all and the commitment to effortful systemic understanding and practice for all is a failure of human potential.

Nurture, Equality, Truth and Systems are the foundational principles that stand the test of time and tyranny. They are our Declaration of Dependence. They are the meaning behind the Constitution, the laws of the land, and the whole fabric for a sustainable beneficent world for all. Everyone has the right to believe what they want to believe. Y Worlds believes that it is time for us to believe in foundational principles and outcomes that benefit life on earth: all people, all future life, the diversity and majesty of inclusiveness. This sounds so simple, perhaps scary to some, but realities such as the rise of Trump and the majority choice of Brexit provide evidence that there are only a small number of people in the world who embrace these signals of human potential above the noise of stuff.

Y Worlds asks you to consider NETS as a first step in the right direction. And we ask you to recognize that the coming US election demands that each and every person who believes in NETS principles and the Constitution to work tirelessly to elect a smart strong experienced woman for president, a woman who has chosen by circumstance to embrace the disgrace of politics, and to deny the tragedy and insanity of a Trump presidency, the destruction of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by a Trump appointed Supreme Court, and the rejection of systemic humanity for bigotry and self serving ignorance. Stand Up.
